Delete your data

This page explains how to delete some or all of your Vacedo data without deleting your account, and how to delete your entire account if you choose. It is provided for Google Play’s Data safety disclosure and for Vacedo users.

Sign in required. Most steps below require you to be signed in to Vacedo on iOS or Android. If you cannot access the app, use the email option in Request deletion by email.

Delete data in the Vacedo app (keep your account)

Open the Vacedo app and use the paths below. Your account (email, sign-in) stays active unless you use Delete your entire account.

Stop collecting or syncing (account kept)

These choices stop new data from being saved or uploaded. They do not always erase data already stored.

Goal	What to do
Stop backing up journal notes to our servers	Settings → Export & Privacy → turn off Enable Cloud Sync
Stop saving new coach chats to your account	Settings → Export & Privacy → turn off Save coach chats to your account. You can also start a Private session on the Coach screen for a single unsaved chat.
Stop uploading selfies for research	Journal → Selfie log → turn off Contribute anonymized photos for research
Revoke health data (heart rate) from the app	iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Vacedo. Android: Health Connect / system health permissions for Vacedo.
Revoke location used for vape-shop reminders	Turn off proximity alerts in Vacedo settings and/or revoke location permission in your phone’s system settings for Vacedo.

Data not fully removable in the app today

The following may still exist on our servers until you delete your account or email us to request deletion:

Puff counts, daily logs, goals, and usage history synced to your account
Community forum posts and replies you have published
Ally / buddy messages and voice notes already delivered or stored on our systems
Research selfie JPEGs you opted in to upload before turning contributions off
Account profile (email, display name, settings)

Delete your entire account

To permanently delete your Vacedo account and associated server data (including forum activity, synced logs, coach history, ally links, and related records as described in our Privacy Policy):

Sign in to Vacedo.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Subscriptions: Deleting your account does not cancel an active Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel billing in your phone’s subscription settings if needed.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app, or you need us to delete data listed under Data not fully removable in the app, email us:

Please send from the email address on your Vacedo account and include:

Subject line: Vacedo data deletion request
What you want deleted (e.g. forum posts, research photos, all server data)
Whether you want to keep or delete your account

We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days.

What we keep and for how long

Coach history (when saving is enabled): Full chat transcripts are retained for up to 60 days, then summarized to reduce ongoing storage of complete logs. Up to 300 summarized sessions may be kept per account. You can clear saved history anytime using the in-app steps above.
Other account data: Kept while your account exists unless you delete it in the app or delete your account, except where law requires longer retention.
Local-only data: Removed when you use Delete All Local Data or uninstall the app (subject to your device’s behavior).

Settings → Export & Privacy → Export as CSV or Export as JSON
