At AICQD, we are committed to helping people reduce or quit vaping through habit support and technology. Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Vacedo mobile application and our website (www.aicqd.com).

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Vacedo, we may collect:

• Account information: Email, display name, authentication identifiers, and settings you choose in the app.
• Behavioral and usage data: Puff counts, goals, timestamps, device pairing data, and related habit-tracking information you log in the app or via compatible hardware.
• Community content: Forum posts, replies, and similar user-submitted text when you use community features.
• Coaching content: Messages and related data when you use the AI coach and when you choose to save coaching history to your account.
• Journal and optional selfie log: Text you enter in the quit journal and, if you use it, photos you capture in the optional daily selfie log (stored in the app and, when signed in, synced per your settings).
• Health data (optional): With your permission, heart rate and related metrics from Apple Health or Health Connect for trends and coaching context—not for medical diagnosis.
• Voice input (optional): Speech-to-text via system APIs for coach voice input; we do not store ambient room audio.
• Device and technical data: Bluetooth identifiers for hardware pairing, app version, and similar technical information needed to operate the service.
• Push notification token: If you allow notifications, a device token so we can send reminders you enable.

2. How we use location information

When you enable Nearby shop reminders, we use location to:

• Find nearby vape or smoke shops so we can set geographic reminders around places you asked us to watch. Shop lists are obtained using Google Places (via our servers; results may be cached for a limited time).
• Monitor geofenced areas you selected (for example, a chosen radius around each shop). If you enter a watched area while the app is in the background or closed, we may send a local notification on your device (for example, a reminder to pause).
• Refresh shop lists when you tap “Refresh shop list” in Settings or when an automatic refresh runs (limited frequency, such as about once per day or after significant travel).

We use location for this optional feature only while you keep it enabled. We do not use location for advertising, selling your data, or unrelated tracking.

3. How location data is shared and stored

• Our servers: When you refresh shop lists, your device may send approximate coordinates to our API so we can query and cache nearby shop results for your account.
• Google Places: Shop lookup uses Google’s location-based services. Google’s processing is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
• On your device: Geofence regions and related preferences are stored locally and in your account settings. We do not continuously stream your live location to our servers for this feature after geofences are set; monitoring occurs on the device via the operating system’s location services.
• We do not sell your location data.

4. Your choices for location

You can control location use at any time:

• In Vacedo: Settings → Nearby shop reminders — turn Alert near vape shops off.
• On your phone: revoke Location permission for Vacedo, or choose While using the app instead of Always / Allow all the time (background reminders require always-on location on iOS and the equivalent on Android).

5. How we use other information

• Provide habit tracking, coaching, analytics, community, and device features you request.
• Improve reliability and security of the app and hardware pairing.
• Communicate with you about support, account, or service updates when appropriate.
• Comply with law and protect users where required.

6. Data storage and retention

• Account and synced data are stored on our servers while your account exists, unless you delete them or delete your account.
• Coach history (when saving is enabled): full transcripts may be retained for up to 60 days, then summarized; see in-app privacy settings.
• Local data (including some snapshots and preferences) may remain on your device until you clear it in the app or uninstall Vacedo.
• Location-related settings (such as whether reminders are enabled and your chosen radius) are stored with your account settings until you change or delete them.

7. Medical disclaimer

Vacedo is a wellness and habit-support tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

8. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, cloud hosting and APIs), under contractual obligations, and when required by law. When you use optional features, those providers may include platforms such as Google (Places, sign-in, or Play services as applicable) and Apple (Sign in with Apple, HealthKit, App Store billing as applicable).

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. In the app, use Settings → Export & Privacy and Delete account. For other requests, contact contact@aicqd.com.

11. Children

Vacedo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the current version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
